Sony's a bunch of greedy fukks and every sees it... Its not even their property originally they just don't want to share the cash cow ... But the bottom line is the mcu is bigger than Spiderman and in the future they'll focus on other characters not Spiderman to take up the slack. never have I seen a company so greedy and not think of their fans their reputation their future than Sony movie studios off of a film property they don't want to relinquish!!! Disney should just buy Sony films and fire everyone...

This might mean more Black Panther movies.

The agreed upon deal was that Sony would finance the spiderman movies 100 percent and marvel would include spiderman in the MCU and take 5 percent of the profits.

Now Disney wants a 50 percent cut of everything spiderman related, including movies that aren't involved in the MCU, regardless of the fact that Sony is the ones paying for these movies to be made.


So I ask again, how is Sony the greedy party in this??

Sony still holds the screen rights to Spider-Man solo films, and is also the distributor, going all the way back to Sam Raimi's 2002 Spider-Man. Marvel, however, owns all the merchandising rights to Spider-Man

nikka Spiderman 1, 2 and trash ass 3 were damn near billion dollar movies each themselves. The first two definitely are a billion each if you adjust for inflation. Even the 2 Amazing Spiderman movies made 1.5 billion together while the 2 MCU movies with a shyt ton of hype and promo made basically 2 billion.

And no I don't want to see Electro again or leisure suits. Not anymore than I want to see Peter fighting holograms and not wearing a Spidey suit at all. Electro was a side villain. They way they handled Mysterio was almost as subpar.

Knock the bullshyt off. If you like the moves better, just say so. Keep the dumb shyt to yourself.

Why not give marvel %75? Why not %100?

And that's CRAZY cause I used to see every MCU joint ASAP

The main reason for this is Endgame. It literally satisfied me as far as the Avengers Infinity Stone whole saga

I've been saying they need to just put Avengers to bed for now and start again with X men. Start small like with IM etc and do another big saga. Don't bring Wolverine in til part 3 at the soonest

Spider man in Cap 3, Infinity War/ Endgame and his 2 solos... That was PLENTY. Killed everything Spiderman related outside of MCU. (Even the original trilogy. Nostalgia is one thing, but I TRIED to watch Spider-Man 1 and 2 recently and shyt was a chore and a half)

So fukc it. Avengers is done anyway. In the best way possible. 22 movies and stuck the landing like no other.

Originally MARVEL sold it then with a clause stating that the rights would revert back to the original owner in the future if no films are made...
