Learn sometimes bruhBluetooth isn't a proprietary connection though. The reason you gotta have an adapter on Xbox1 is because it is using a Microsoft proprietary wireless connection.
XB1 uses WiFi-Direct as its wireless connection and this standard is and will replace bluetooth because its better. Here, you should read this chapter out of my book...

Yes, a 3.5mm jack headset will work fine.

Well then the Pulse Elite PS3 surround sound headsets should work because it comes with jack for you to use on multiple devices... not sure if this was mentioned already

Cool I'm so happy now my pulse elites will work day one wired or wireless because they are standard USB headsets. Pulse Elites don't use BT.

They'll work just not at launch. I got the Pulse Elites (which I'll have to wait for an update), and the PS Vita In-ear Headset w/ mic (which I can just plug in the DS4)
