Im sorry for me to be an involuntary IT guy since I was 5 y/o, what the fukk does any of this mean? I haven’t played the game since I found music. That was almost 20 years ago and I’m only 29. Are they trying to turn the game into a cpu? Please inform a breh

That’s what they miss, most people that like Sonys games already have ps5’s, that’s why spider man 2’s sales are mediocre on pc, because it already sold 15 million copies before they ported it snd it’s still selling with new ps5’s

I bet the vast majority of their pc sales are from double dippers or places like China
Isn't this like saying the room to expand their audience is limited? I'm pretty sure they put those games on PC to convert holdouts to buy a PlayStation console.

They've taken much of whatever Xbox had, the Nintendo gamers interested in PlayStation already own one. If they can't convert PC gamers the only group left are people who aren't deep into gaming or don't game at all.

Next step is to populate more Sony stans.

Sony was doing it right. I bought the exclusive when it got released for the PS5 pro. Didn't play it in time, got it on PC and then played it in 32:9, with better graphics at 120fps and loved it. I bought nearly every ps exclusive on pc, played it and loved it. I'm still waiting on Astrobot on PC (but that's a pipe dream). I'd rather play it on PC than PS5 pro. But whatever. I'll just play it on an inferior console at 16:9. You just don't know how much better 32:9 is at 120fps. It's so much better. Playing on a shytty console is terrible. Whatever, 5 games every 5 years on PS5 Pro is alright. We don't need you Sony. I love Sony games on pc, but it's not that big of a deal. I'm gonna buy it regardless. I just prefer to play it on PC. I'll double dip: no problem.

The only way this was ever gonna work was if Sony managed to get their service established in the PC market. They definitely weren't gonna port all their games just to share the profits with Valve.

PSN is how they make most of their money, there's no benefit in making their console obsolete if they cant grow PSN in the PC market.

PC gamers made it clear that they wanted nothing to do with PSN, to them its Steam or they bootleg your shyt for free. That was never gonna work long term for Sony. Didn't help that the ports weren't the best.

Exactly, once psn was rejected there was really no point

Sony don’t even talk about expansion and multi platform stuff anymore in their earnings reports, because it’s kind of useless without psn

Meh, 32:9 is so 2023. We on 48:9, 240FPS augmented reality. 5090 is LIGHT WORK. :skip:

They could easily do it if Wolverine launches day and date on their. That’s the problem either you go all in or not. The novelty will natural wear off waiting 2 to 3 years after console.

Day and date ports would just make playstation obsolete faster, and nothing would convince PC gamers to buy from Sony's service over Steam. That would be a terrible business decision.
