i liked Horizon a lot and a few multi plat games(Witcher 3 one of the greatest games i ever played) but ya this whole generation felt weaker overall. hoping things are different on the PS5 and Scarlett.

PS4 def had the upperhand on exclusives, but id like to see more new IPs(like Death Stranding)

The whole Open World formula with do this several times or more. Then the next mission is a bit different, rinse and repeat. Is boring as fukk to me.
I haven't played Witcher 3 but I keep hearing mixed reviews so I don't know.

Thank you, like I said disappointing, not shyt. Wii was fukking shyt. Wii U was forgettable. PS4 I think is amazing if you missed out on a lot of PS3 shyt like me, all these remasters. Outside of that, I don't think too many creative and innovative shyt was done.
Not that's bad but for me, I would get bored and gravitate to the smaller and indie games.

Compared to the previous gens, this is quite lackluster. SotC is a ps2 classic, remake does not count.

I did enjoy Until Dawn and The Last Guardian.
Infamous games were ok. Driveclub . If I knew the future, I personally would've got an Xbox or Switch instead if they weren't so shyt.

Hardcore gaming has nothing to do with mature types. To me Playstation has always been a hardcore gaming brand. They have all different types of genres of games plus niche and casual.

And those are just among the AAA games. Folks forget about all the indie piff that dropped and smaller games, that are AAA status in gameplay and only not as much on the full gfx/big budget scale. Yet, when they look at PS2 era, all those mid-tier games were among the ones that they would include in these discussions, but now folks act like if it didn't cost 60+ million to make, then it's not worth discussion.
