Also D Boy it does say heavy network traffic, but I can get on PSN Store, I can change my profile pic, and I don't have any issues with my friends-list.

Have you ever unplugged your PS4 without fully turning it off? If so have oyu rebuilt the database or had it check for corruption in safe mode?

When companies inconvenience their customers if they have good customer service they do more than just refund you your money. But thats in an environment where there is competition. There is no competition for PSN on the Playstation. IMO they should have offered double the amount of down days as comp (10 days). Its still small but 5 days is essentially 83 cents in compensation for being down at the most important time of the year for their customers. Then they could have thrown in a free indie game on top of a 15% discount. A lot of people dont purchase things from PSN so offering just a discount pretty much does nothing for them, putting a screen on the Playstation home page that says "free game" would ensure everyone gets something. And that limited time only 10% discount is wack. It should not have a time limit on it. Sony should allow us to use that discount whenever we please. I can easily see them pulling a stunt where during the discount period there arent any steep discount on games and then right when its over they start back offering decent deals for PS+ subscribers. 10% is that discount you are supposed to scoff at when someone offers it to you. If someone told you a store was having an "Everything is 10% off sale" would you even bother getting out the bed? I can get 10% off at Best Buy just by asking for it.

its relative but i dont think thats accurate... people are paying for the service specifically to be able to play when they want... everyone is off on christmas.... most on boxing day... and many buy their kids games, get games etc... it was probably the highest traffic time of the year... and they fukked up... if they were smart... they woulda just said were giving u infamous first light due to the outage... not as the january free game... and gave us some shyttty independant game as the psn freebie

not everyones.....mines was down for a few hours, only time I couldnt get on was xmas night, which was no big deal cause I wasnt tryna play online...

but my buddy across town couldnt get on psn for 3 days...thought that was just strange.....

This isn't like when the server was down for everyone for like a month, I think, in 2011 and had credit card information stolen.

If Im not mistaken the TOS states that they aren't responsible for unexpected outages. This was a DDoS attack with the server being up and down for five days and they gave us those five days back along with a 10% off voucher for even non plus members.

But I guess they could've gave us Knack for free instead :ld:

Hell yeah. My power was out for nearly two weeks during the hot ass summer because of a bad storm blew the transformer and a tree broke a power line a couple of years ago. Electric company was like :manny: at least your power bill won't be as high for the month.
