Most games that drop on Steam drop on PS5 too. There's rarely a game that comes out that's big that isn't on consoles as well. That same logic of "there's plenty of games" can apply to anything.
Most people want to play big games when they come out, not 1 year later. Also the "If the game drops day 1 on PC it will sell better" logic is faulty.
Concord flopped the fukk out day 1 on Steam.
Lego Horizon flopped day 1 on Steam.
Ghosts of Tsushima did great on Steam launching 4 years later.
Red Dead Redemption 1 was pretty successful I heard on Steam almost 15 years later.
Stellar Blade dropped a year later on Steam and sold very well.
It's nothing to do with timing, it's to do with the game itself.
This is lies. Most games that drop on Steam drop on PS5 too. There's rarely a game that comes out that's big that isn't on consoles as well.

but that's the point, a wack game is a wack game if drops day 1 or day 500.Concord was a wack game even on console. I’m talking heavy hitters yes those games did great it only shows how much better they would have done if the released day and date or closer too.
How many big games dropped on Steam within the last year that's not on PS5? The word "Most" got you in a sharpshooter. This is lies.
theres lots of big games that dont come to console, or they take a long time to do so.
Reality is steam has more “exclusives” than all the consoles combined.
That reality just doesn’t fit inside the console wars context, so we pretend it ain’t real![]()
Ok but games like those Metaphor and Clare Obscure obviously would have sold less if it was released on one platform though so those needed to be multiplat. Square was complaining how making Final Fantasy 16 and Rebirth didn’t sell to their expectations on console. It performed shytty on console which made it sell like trash once it came to pc. Look at monster hunter wilds it had trash performance but still sold well with a multiplatform release.but that's the point, a wack game is a wack game if drops day 1 or day 500.
Metaphor released everywhere day 1 and as of June sold 2 million while Claire Obscure sold 3.3 million in 33 days. Both RPG games, both released everywhere yet sold drastically different. It's not an open/shut case of release day 1 everywhere to get guaranteed sales. Sometimes a specific demographic is heavy on one platform. FF XVI sold Ice Spice numbers on Xbox after cats was talking about they need to drop everywhere. The people talking ain't vote with they wallets.
Your idea of a “big” game is skewed by your perspective. How many big games dropped on Steam within the last year that's not on PS5? The word "Most" got you in a sharpshooter.
Stan babble.Your idea of a “big” game is skewed by your perspective.
Theres lots of 2 milly+ selling games on steam that didnt launch on consoles day one.
More than i could even name right here.

Look at Dragon's Dogma 2, a game that also is from Capcom and was released everywhere that sold WAY less than that(Monster Hunter Wilds which sold already 10 million) despite releasing everywhere. Again, "day 1 everywhere" is not suddenly a recipe for success. Dragon's Dogma 2 sold 3 million across in almost a year despite being on 3 systems. There's other factors at play which is all I'm saying.Ok but games like those Metaphor and Clare Obscure obviously would have sold less if it was released on one platform though so those needed to be multiplat. Square was complaining how making Final Fantasy 16 and Rebirth didn’t sell to their expectations on console. It performed shytty on console which made it sell like trash once it came to pc. Stan babble.
How many games sold over 2 million on steam alone, just a few examples if you can.

A viral game that cost $7.99 is your argument?![]()
