They already are multiplatform. They seem to intend to port just about everything to PC going forward and are even releasing Switch and Xbox games. They clearly aren't going to do what Microsoft did and have everything everywhere day one but they're multiplatform now.

Soon, God of War gonna be on a Switch 2

But Nintendo staying true to their strategy proves that they can outcast EVERYONE in gaming.

Looks like the PS5 might have been my last Sony console after all. But who didn’t see this coming exclusives cost too much and majority of people on the console are playing third party games. People have to understand that Sony isn’t a full gaming company like Nintendo. At the end of the day it’s all about making money and the most money at that. They got a taste of the money from PC seen how much numbers Microsoft was putting up putting there exclusives on their platform and said fukk it. This news sucks for the fanboys but if you been on your way out of consoles and moved to PC and smelt the fukkin coffee from earlier this is a Win.

A vast majority of people buy Playstation for the exclusives, so its hard for me to believe a majority of people are playing 3rd party games.

Secondly, PC is too expensive, complex, and time consuming. Your are alienating a big part of your customer base. A lot of people buy consoles for simplicity. And Think of all the teens and kids who get consoles for Christmas.

So its not really a win to switch to PC.

I'll be building a new pc by the time the 6 comes out, so don't really care as long as they keep putting their games on pc.

console been dead. Imagine paying good money for some bullshyt like the switch 2 :picard:

Y'all nikkas are trolling.

Think about what someone who's been gaming on console the past 20 years has to do.

-Research every part of the PC and make sure every part goes together.

-Most people are budget friendly, so that means a $400 PC REALLY requires research and it won't run a lot of games

-Console gamers often want the best graphics and the best graphical built PCs are $1500 minimum

-Look at video game requirements and hope your PC specifications are enough

-Go in and adjust settings for every game

-Having to deal with hackers.

Alternate reality :mjlol:

How many PS5s did Sony sell?

They're going to give all of those console sales up for the PC route? :jbhmm:How many people can afford and have the patience to shop out and build a budget PC.

The more believable route would be Sony selling a $400 PS6 and releasing 1st party games on PC.

Right!! Nobody got time to be digging into the Bios and updating driver as well as making sure Windows isn't tripping with the game. The major selling point of a console is that it's plug and play. You either choose Performance or visual. You don't have to go through all of those settings to get the game to work perfectly. It just works lol
