I don't think he read the article of the employees saying they pitched the GOW GAAS to Sony and constantly missed their deadline leading to Sony cancelling the project. I even showed him the numbers from the last few projects they had didn't sell enough and he's still debating it. At this point he's arguing for the sake of it. At the end of the day if you're not selling enough of your products to be successful you're going to go out of business. That's business 101. Like you said Meach if Sony didn't purchase them they would have went out of business sooner. If another publisher bought them out. The results would have still been the same probably. The solution to this problem is to ACTUALLY SUPPORT THE DEVELOPER AND PURCHASE THEIR GAMES! I even put it in all caps because @winb83 keeps glossing over this one fact to argue.AAA remakes weren’t making any money and they couldn’t land on a promising pitch to sony.
They’d be in the same place without be purchased by sony.
If anything the sony acquisition helped them live a bit longer than would have.
