This is almost as bad as how Microsoft handled tango!

So people that bought the Uncharted Collection or Shadow of the Collection but weren’t into Demon Souls don’t count. Got it.Ummmmm yeah. You can't be outraged about them being shutdown especially if you didn't actively support them financially. If they moved more units of Demon Souls that usually gives you more leeway since you have produced a money maker for Sony. Like I said a majority of these people that are mad didn't even support the studio to help keep it open.
The Shadow of the collection sold 435k units. The Uncharted collection sold 569k units. Also the Uncharted collection doesn't account for the people that only paid $10 bucks for it like me. Those aren't game changing numbers. Try againSo people that bought the Uncharted Collection or Shadow of the Collection but weren’t into Demon Souls don’t count. Got it.

What are you even arguing? Clearly the point of saying people who didn’t buy Demon Souls and don’t know the studio’s geographical location are somehow either complicit or good with its closure is absurd. The Shadow of the collection sold 435k units. But again if you the people that were outraged actually purchased the games and supported the company. They would not have been in that position. When you are a company that produces games that sell well, you get the latitude and cache to stay above the fray. Media molecule hasn't released a game since 2020. But they have little big planet franchise as a feather in their cap. Little Big planet 3 sold 5.5 mil units. So they can take a bit more time to cook. This is a studio that was purchased as the company pivoted to live services and this studio had no business making a God of War live service game. They were mismanaged and closed. Anyone can have issues with that.
and ngl..... starfield probably *should* have been live service tooNow that im thinking about, with as much shyt Bethesdas gets, they actually maintaining two live service games
I think if you believe outrage at misfortune and supporting the company as you put it are mutually exclusive you are naive. You come across as a corporate boot licker trying to defend the shuttering of a studio a company purchased, mismanaged, and ran into the ground then closed. But again if you the people that were outraged actually purchased the games and supported the company. The purchase made sense enough to the owners of Bluepoint at the time when they agreed to sale themselves to Sony. But again most of the people outraged are doing so because it's the current trendy thing to be outraged about they don't care. Literally months ago a majority of them were joking that the PS5 was just a remaster system.I think if you believe outrage at misfortune and supporting the company as you put it are mutually exclusive you are naive. To be honest the purchase doesn’t make sense in hindsight because Sony never really did anything with the company before closing it. It’s the type of move a sports executive makes. Extend a coach then turn around and fire them. Irrational.
Companies get started all the time looking for a buyout by a larger company. At the time it looked fine but they tried to take a company that makes single player remakes and does support work into a live service game studio. What type of sense does that make? The purchase made sense enough to the owners of Bluepoint at the time when they agreed to sale themselves to Sony. If they are as pro developer as some of y'all claim the first step would be to actually support the developer and buy their games. Maybe they never would have sold themselves to Sony if that was the case. But you still could have supported them and purchased Demons Soul Remake. A lot of the people whining on the Internet didn't. Give it 2 wks and most of these people aren't going to care about this misfortune. I'm not as naive as you. At the end of the day numbers talk. I say this as someone that purchased all of their games and buys a ton of games. If y'all truly cared y'all would purchase their games
AAA remakes weren’t making any money and they couldn’t land on a promising pitch to sony.Companies get started all the time looking for a buyout by a larger company. It’s the same type of move EA tried to make with BioWare. Why buy a company and them put on projects that are not their expertise? It was pointless and maybe if the studio remained independent but took contracts from Sony it would still be alive because companies love to remake games.
