SO DRM and online pass is the same thing right?

If I choose not to get a online pass, guess what I can still play and trade and sell my game.

If DRM is enable by a 3rd party guess what? I can't do any of the above.

Does that sound like the same as the ps3?

patrice

didn't think so.

Like the current gen, we'll see games where you have to activate multiplayer with a code, so if you buy a used game without the registration code you might have to buy an online pass to activate the multiplayer for you.

Exactly. As. It. Is. Now.

Give it up Wimpy. They said this shyt back in February....
PS4 Will Not Require An Always-Online Connection [UPDATE]

"More relief... At a roundtable this morning, Sony's game studios chief, Shuhei Yoshida, told reporters that any requirement for users to register a game online in order to play it would be left to game publishers. Sony won't require that."

:snoop:

LOL @ Sony sold us out...it's the same shyt in place now on the PS3.

Stop frontin like you on Team Sony too!!! :birdman:
Yeah, I remember this too.

So we have a link that explained this back from Feb. and now there's a thread about it like this is a bomshell.

Thread title is stupid, and the OP has repeatedly said he's getting all consoles for their respective exclusives.

:heh: @ this nikka quoting that statement in his first post and still making this thread. nikka you'll have a One and a PC, if you feel like Sony is "selling" you out more than other platforms then cop your multiplat games on other platforms (which you've already said you'll own) and shut the fukk up.

Why didn't he say that on stage? "We won't require it but our third party partners may choose to implement it as its possible on our platform."

No he got on stage and said no activations of games then they make a video about sharing games on ps4 then in an off screen interview he when pressed about it comes clean.

Talk about exploiting a situation by telling half the truth for pr gain.
Well why didn't he say that on stage? Might not have got all the no DRM on PS4 headlines and cheering in the street they got after that press event but its the whole truth not a convenient portion of it.

Wow you guys are pretty dense huh? It's the same thing already on the PS3, Sony doesn't need to announce something that they can't really do anything about.

You looking for an argument that isn't there.

Sony PS4 will support used games: no restrictions, online check-in or authentication required

:beli:

And DRM isn't mentioned anywhere specific, so stop acting like Tretton's words are about that.

Jack Tretton
"The DRM decision is going to have to be in the hands of the third parties. Thatย’s not something that weย’re going to dictate or mandate or control or implement."

So Optional DRM is same as no DRM right?

:mindblown:

Yesterday we were told there is NO DRM in front of millions of people.

Today you're being told its not enabled by SONY but 3rd parties can if they want.
