But what if the reason the system messed up is part, if not all user error? I know I'm not like everyone else, but if my shyt was fukking up, I'd go through exhaustive measures to figure out the problem before I start bytching to Sony.

You don't think I tried everything in the God damn world to avoid having to ship my 10-minute-old fukking console back to Sony?

The fukk am I suppose to do with a failed GPU? Have already tried everything, and so have other people. I doubt many people are looking at their faulty systems like " guess it's cause its a launch console" after waiting on shipping/waiting in line/etc. etc.

Yeah. Although I know it sucks for those that are having problems. They will get their console fixed/replaced and PSN will work eventually.

To me it's still worth the risk to get some brand new awesome shyt. Those that aren't jumping in cause they are broke/scared are the ones that lost of you ask me

Nah. My 360 was a first 6 months console, think I got it that X-Mas. It was cool and didn't fukk up at all outside of 1 incident i got E71, and it was good until it just randomly completely died about 3 years ago this time. Just copped the slim on Black Friday and flourished with that ever since.

Got my PS2 the summer it launched, and it had that disc read error, but I just opened it up and cleaned the lens and it was good. I just waited and checked on the quick fixes for the consoles and they were good. I'm a first 6 months guy, but Day 1 is too much skress fam. I still get more than enough out of my purchase, I'm just a couple months behind the initial jumpers. I generally have good luck with early consoles, as I've never had to send one in outside of my 360, but I like my chances after a couple more months once they iron out launch issues.

I had a broken ps2 and 360 as well. I fixed my ps2 myself, and M$ fixed my 360 for free. I'm still happy I bought them when I did and I look forward to getting my launch X1. Like I said its worth the risk to me

Really? Isolated? Out of the 4 people I know who also bought PS4s, 2 are also having the same issue. That’s 3 out of 5 (including me) with issues where they cannot play. I know this is limited, but it seems to me that if I were the only one, then I could say… yeah, maybe it is isolated.
