These systems were rushed to the market so that nobody gets left behind. I'mma wait a year, when shyt is stable and they got some games.

BTW it seems the nikkas on Neogaf are narrowing this down to a bad batch of consoles manufactured in September 2013 in Hongfujin Yantai China. Mine had same info. Amazons main batch was also that apparently.

But what if the reason the system messed up is part, if not all user error? I know I'm not like everyone else, but if my shyt was fukking up, I'd go through exhaustive measures to figure out the problem before I start bytching to Sony.

Blaming Sony is easy as hell. Blaming a "Launch" system is easy as hell. I've had one launch system crap out on me, and that was when my 360 RROD. I'm on my 4th 360. Outside of that, I still have my N64, Gamecube, OG Xbox, Wii, PS3, and would still have my PS2 if I didn't sell it to a friend. Only one that wasn't a Launch System is the PS3, but it's still a Fat, Backwards Compatible 80gb (with the HD swapped of course).

My point is "Launch System" problem are overblown IMO. Outside of M$ shoddy interior design of the 360, nothing has had any major issues. I don't think this PS4 thing is as bad as ppl want to make it, and I'm pretty sure M$ learned from the 360, and any "issues" that happen next week and beyond with the X1 will be overblown as well.

Why you spelling MS with a $ sign its very annoying to read like I'm back in 2001 or some shyt.

Anyway about 20 people on my Facebook feed is saying theirs was DOA. launch

For everyone who think people are trolling when they complain about their playstation not working, I did the same thing when RROD hit the 360. I thought it was their fault the shyt was overheating and no way it could happen to me. I wasn't as dumb as them and took care of my electronics. I went out and bought one like a dumbass and it RROD on me within 3 months. I had to send it in for repair three or four times within the first year of owning the shyt. Maybe it's a different case for the PS4, but don't think people are complaining for no reason.

That's bullshyt..people prolly think something is wrong wit the system cause they can't get on PSN right away..

nothing is bs about over 50% of people rating it one star. People are now forced to pay to get online, so if it doesn't work they can take that one star whatever the reason I'm sure its justified

Sony better offer some free shyt to make up for this. You got people dropping 500 on a console and games and nikkas gotta play Operation with the HDMI cord or the pins fukk up and other systems are just flat out bricked in the box.

Crazy thing is you know some of these systems won't be opened until Christmas. Hate to be the parent that gives their kid a bricked PS4.

Yeah, cuz nikkaz on neogaf can narrow down all the faulty units in about 12hrs of time

Thats funny, because the PS2 sold twice as many units as the Xbox 360 did, had this disc read error thing where they ended up getting sued and lost. I happened to be working at a funcoland at the time, and we had PS2's stacked higher than ME (6ft tall) in rows of 2's
My first two systems wouldn't recognize DVD OUT THE fukkING BOX.
Nothing has been worse than that, but let the fanboys tell you xbox RROD was worse
When the PS2 launched, the internet wasn't as strong so the exact numbers wasn't as widely known
But I was there, it was epic. And sony weeks after launch knew about it and has denied it til this day

Xbox One's are designed to last 10yrs and be on 24hrs a day. They not the same, regardless of where they were manufactured
