Eh maybe. They kept them open for a whole generation even though they pronounced little to nothing. But yeah Sony seem interested in the Japanese stuff that works globally, which is a shame. They should buy someone like Falcom and get them making JRPGs like Nintendo do with the Xenoblade guys.

It’s like the WNBA of Sony’s NBA. Do you keep the studio around just to satisfy a niche group of fans or do you bush them and put the money into acquiring more profitable developers, like Bluepoint?

A company isn’t gonna invest more money into trying to get a smaller company to become a big company the small company has to organically grow after they prove they can sell a game. Bluepoint did that, thus they get more money to make the next game. JS has been putting out high cost duds all gen.

Yeah, Bluepoint doesn't need to come off the bench anymore.

Sony should go back to focusing on Japan they are already good on the western game front but they’ve been a bit weak on the Japanese side compared to PS2 standards. They could of had some AA Japanese exclusives for PS5 to hold us over until the AAA shyt drops.
