but gamefly requires you to buy a system..Playstation now will work on Playstation TV, Android, IOS and Samsung smart Tvs.

I'll passTo allow one to "buy" something that is rendered remotely is akin to having giving lifetime access to server compute resources for a small upfront cost, which is just plain bad business. Say you buy that ps3 game (which takes good resources to stream) for 30 bucks to own forever...that will mean they would be giving you lifetime rights to demand that they render your game...which makes no sense
Because the game is being rendered on their server farm and not on the system. It is not possible for the ps4 to emulate the cell CPU in the ps3...
id pay just to play blinx the cat on microsofts serviceSONY throwbacks > MS Throwbacks
After reading both sides of the argument I'm cool with admitting that my opinion has changed. $15 a month is not bad for what they are offering. I wish you could buy the games a la cart and keep them on your hard drive but I understand why that isn't currently possible as well. That image on the first page alone has some great games on it and I can imagine they will continue to add more. I still own all of my old systems so this isn't a huge deal, but for some people that may have never played some of these games, this is a great opportunity to be exposed to something they may never have been otherwise. If you are a video game collector like myself this may not be the option for you, but for the casual gamer that doesn't care about collecting disc art and what not, this is great. I'm sure the Xbox One has some great games and the library will get stronger, but you can't sit here and front and act like if Xbox One was to put out this service at this same price the only games you would see worth renting would be the Halo series, Jade Empire, Doom, Mass Effect, and Gears of War. Sony is giving us options that it really doesn't have to at an understandable price. That library stands on its own.

awwww did your first reply not illicit enough attention for you, whore? Most expensive rental service, with the shyttiest selection of games, all at a lesser quality than the originalsI'll pass
Now this is a valid opinion of the service. I'd agree completely except on the lesser quality, for older games I'm sure streaming them at full quality is quite easy cause they graphics are basicMost expensive rental service, with the shyttiest selection of games, all at a lesser quality than the originalsI'll pass
