Or you can pick and choose the games you want off that list. Most of them are in the bargain bin or dirt cheap on Steam sales. That lineup is pretty mediocre. I wouldn't pay more than $10 a month to access that.

I still need to catch up on far cry 4, assassins creed 4 and GTAV on my PS4 to be worried about playing PS3 games. But for those who game a lot it's not a bad deal

To allow one to "buy" something that is rendered remotely is akin to having giving lifetime access to server compute resources for a small upfront cost, which is just plain bad business. Say you buy that ps3 game (which takes good resources to stream) for 30 bucks to own forever...that will mean they would be giving you lifetime rights to demand that they render your game...which makes no sense

Because the game is being rendered on their server farm and not on the system. It is not possible for the ps4 to emulate the cell CPU in the ps3...

architecture totally different. They'd have to do what they did with the launch PS3 and put the chip from the previous playstation in it. Too expensive.
