I'm pretty sure PS5 will have backwards compatibility this time it shouldn't be hard to transfer PS4 games to work on the PS5 store especially with the x86 architecture. I think they probably wanted to put bc for the PS3 on PS4 but since there two totally different designed machines they knew the system would of cost more then 399 and probably didn't want to be in a another PS3 situation. Plus PS4 games will stay longer in the digital ecosystem to be purchased if backwards compatible. Now that PS3 is dead the digital catalogue with it is dead as well unless they bring all those titles too psnow. Sony would be stupid not make PS4 not compatible with PS5.

I guess with 60 million sales, and their multiplats outselling the other brand's version (at least I think) you can afford to drop an upgrade for better frame rate and resolution. Apparently he says the PS4 is still selling strongly.

I guess the PS5 will be when they feel like they need to answer to Xbox 1X?

now of course they started doing these slims.. but that was the same exact system..

now they coming with this mid tier upgrade.. which is nothing but something for 4k. if you don't have 4k, you still playing the same GAMES from the same generation.. it's not like you getting something new
