"Dear fellow backers: I'm preparing a class action lawsuit against Jason Powers aka Elzhi for failure to deliver the album we funded, rewards and failure to refund. If you want to be plaintiff, please email your full legal name and the city and state in which you reside to [redacted]. You can find information about my legal background [linkedin link redacted]. I will post updates regarding the lawsuit to this comment thread. Thank you -- now let's get our money back!

Here's a quick update on the class action that's in the works: You don't have to be a plaintiff in the case to recover. If we're able to establish a class and recover, backers will be eligible to recover as class members without being named plaintiffs and in the same manner as the named plaintiffs. However, the court may give "incentive awards" (i.e. extra cash) to the named plaintiffs for their service as class representatives. (I'll fill you in on what that entails.)
If you want to consider being a named plaintiff, please email your full legal name and the city and state in which you reside to [redacted]. I won't do anything with that information without your further approval."

sounds like his business aint right. as in he doesnt know the business maybe. i think t3 handled that and he claimed he was doin him dirty. now whos to blame. i like elzhi alot. theres no reason dude shouldnt hav a successful career w/ the following he has.
Yea if it wasn't for T3 Elzhi likely would have never had much of a career, dude has zero business sense. His issues were with RJ Rice, who owned the label that they were on, thats why he ultimately left. I didn't see the point in a Kickstarter so I never donated, Elzhi was a part of 2 major label releases with SV, 2 independent releases with SV, toured like crazy with SV, built a tour off the strength of Elmatic and had solo releases on own, what the hell is stopping him from getting his Skyzoo on and releasing shyt on his own? It ain't like he got to pay out the ass for beats, he wouldn't have to even leave Detroit to get classic beats with all of the dope beatmakers from his own city that he already has relationships with. The way his career has unfolded since leaving SV is bizarre.

You don't fukk with Elzhi, breh?

And you know 90% of the donations was cacs. nikkas just don't give up free money :pachaha:

Not really. He's a standard rapper imo. His verse on Cold Steel was decent. and I like his verse on Reunion. He's slightly better than a lot of rappers today but he's still russell to me

Dawg...you don't like ANYBODY :deadrose:

That's just not true. I love tons of rappers. I'm just very selective about who I listen to post 2005-ish. Because I grew up in a different era. When you witness dudes like Nas drop "Nas Is Like" or even Busta with "Gimme Some Mo", then tell me Elzhi is incredible, it's like :what: The bar for quality is so low it's unbelievable.

No disrespect. I'm not saying he's absolute garbage. He's just easy to ignore.
