It's not about Too short having more
Both Q-Tip and Too Short made enough to be called a solo artist, so they are both in that discussion

Can't believe we're having a conversation with an artist like Andre who hasn't even made one proper solo album. Even further, how can he be Top 10 in front of all of those solo legends, when he hasn't even put out MULTIPLE solo albums? And not even one solo classic album

So you're willing to put Andre and leapfrog him into even the Top 20, ahead of the solo rappers who have had near classics with about 4 or 5 good albums they put out? Hilarous :dead:

Q Tips solo work is garbage, and he's not known for it. Based on your qualifications, Too Short would be a superior rapper.

Was that a classic CD to you...something that you could put on to show disbelievers that Andre 3000 is a Top 10 MC of all-time?:usure:

GZA is dope as hell Liquid Swords and his work with DJ Muggs were real dope. He's not better than Andre though.

He's better than Andre. By a healthy margin too. Go take a listen to his discography. GZA one of the illest lyricists ever. Plus he ain't scared to make a solo album.

NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
doing things by yourself is 10x easier, you dont have to rely or ask anyone for anything and you pretty much do whatever you want. Being in a group or crew is difficult unless you have 0 expectation of anything. i got asked once "whats easier, doing songs with rappers or doing solo instrumental projects?" solo, me by myself with no rappers. im not waiting on verses or paying for mixing.

3k probably doesnt care hes a weird dude who does what he wants, i legit dont think he cares about a solo or hed have done it.
Ur speaking from a production perspective. From a rap perspective. It's undeniably harder to do solo projects. It's more satisfying if ur an artist with ur own vision. But it ain't "easier". It's literally half the work to be in a group. U share ideas with another person. And u literally only have to come up with half the verses. That's why alot of dope group artists branch out solo and end up dropping underwhelming work. Some people thrive solo so the group setting limits them. That doesn't mean doing the solo project is "easier". It's just more satisfying that u get to utilize ur own ideas in ur own way. And I'm a rapper who has been in a group for years. And work way better solo. I'm also a producer as well. @Knicksman20 heres ur answer.
