UC2 is definitely better than TR. Bottom line is that UC2 is way more fun & memorable of a game. It's a an addictive game that you want to experience repeatedly. Who really wanted to go back to that well executed yet dull TR game again? If you spend $60 on it you got fukked. UC2 with the Multiplayer was countless hours of piff.

Uncharted 2 was the best of the series but it wasn't on the level of definitive edition which is understandable because it is older but the game is wayy to overrated especially in this day and age. I played Tomb Raider twice I don't see the problem I had never gotten 100 percent unlocked on all skills. There is no incentive in playing Uncharted again.

No the melee was not just QTE.

And you can't say "outside the bow" which was a very integral part of the experience. So was the modifications and upgrades.

You're basically saying "outside of all the stuff tomb raider did better, they were the same" :martin:

There was nothing "random" about the environments and if semi-open world was a problem to you then you probably won't like UC4

You could not just run up to someone and Melee them. Hand to hand combat consisted of basically scramble dodging and pressing y at the correct time. Nothing tense about it at all. And yes, I don't like That UC4 is open to large area gameplay instead of linear.

I watched the streams and it look fukking lit every streamer was even blown away at how good it was I could see the amazement in they face. Graphics and gun play is crazy. Plus RPG crafting. unharted better push the game back another 6 months any get they shut right. They took like 4 years to make the game meanwhile ubisoft comes with the piff in just 2 years. The last e3 footage of uncharted I been said it's just more of the same but dudes thought I was crazy. Let's see what nAughty dawg gon do

Dudes were impressed with a scripted drive scene and car fire like wtf is that we seen that before what is new it is 2016.

Yeah you could.

You ever played tomb raider? :usure:

And yes scramble dodging is tense. As opposed to being a bad ass that can win every hand to hand encounter without breaking a sweat.

This particular opinion is definitely a minority one though. UC2 is considered one the best games of that whole generation, while TR was just another good game that came out that year. I can't argue which one you liked more though:yeshrug:

Nah. For me the things uncharted did better (story, set pieces, cinematics) are things you only need to experience once.

Gameplay stuff makes you come back.

Though i didn't come back to either game once I beat them :manny:

Again, I was around for both games, and you're definitely in the minority on the replayability thing.

It's similar to a classic Action/Adventure or Comedy movie vs. A well written and executed drama. That Drama might even win best picture, but which movie do you love to watch repeatedly? The one that took you on the most entertaining/fun/memorable ride.

The problem with game mechanics being the strongest feature is, all game mechanics are repetitive no matter how much you like them in a game. That repetitive shyt will not bring you back for more. Scale, presentation, immersion, and entertainment will bring you back for more. I can picture a certain game level I played through in my mind and immediately crave wanting to play through that shyt again. TR didn't have memorable shyt like that, but the game did play well though.
