Left Miami for all the wrong reasons. Left and is gonna retire a 2 time champ smh. Left at least 2 more rings on the table here. Being popular in Ohio and hooking your high school crew up should never be the reasons you make decisions like this.

Like.. What is this really about with him now?

It used to be legacy and being better than the greats.... :mjlol:

Please don't let LeBron James become the epitome of fell from top 10 to not mentioned at all....

He's not winning anything in CLE.. He never was back in the day when he was a better individual player.. Now his chances have decreased even more..

He's looking real funny in the light. The east and west have moved on and there are 11-12 teams just flat out better than CLE

That's a large part of why I've barely watched any games this year. Bad enough the heat are having an awful year and are hardly on tv. The fact that the leagues top player and name prioritized being popular with markets that looked at him like a scorned ex wife simply because his team uniform said heat on it is absurd. He showed that his top goal is be the popular kid of his high school team and not be held accountable for anything. Can't be the greatest if you've got nobody willing to step up to you. Can't grow this way, and to see him throw away a once in a generation crew in Miami that had more titles left to win simply disappoints me in so many ways as a basketball fan. He left Cleveland to go to Miami for all the right reasons, and he went back for all the wrong ones. What sounds better as a basketball fan? LeBron the cavalier, loved and cheered by most, or LeBron James, captain of the Miami heat who led them to somewhere between 3-5 championships?

I know you're a Heat fan and all, but they weren't winning any more titles the way they were constituted

Not with their 2013-14 supporting cast, but I think Pat Riley has earned enough credibility to rebuild the supporting cast. He had the cornerstones in place. That's the hard part. I mean if you look at the supporting cast around Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen in Chicago during the 1991-93 title runs, it's not the same supporting cast as 1996-98. I think Riley could've put another one together. Sure there's the possibility that the parts weren't there this year, but the Bulls did not win all 6 in a row. I trust the front office of the Miami Heat much more than the cavaliers.

In the sense they'd be paying the tax again yes, but if winning was the top goal, the option to leave money for other free agents or trade is there. They left money on the table before. Personally I'll leave cash on the table to up my odds of a title. We don't get income tax in Florida anyway :manny:. I think the best option would have been take a 1 or 2 year deal in Miami and assess things after that.

Thing is the Heat played defense and are a well run organization. Neither can be said about the cavaliers and teams don't come together defensively. Miami came together offensively in time. Who on that roster is a lockdown defender? That roster isn't built to play championship caliber defense.

Spo was being thrown under the bus like this early on, but management came out and supported him, squashing that shyt. Cleveland more than likely won't, since their #1 goal right now is to appease Bron so he doesn't leave.

Miami had talent defensively. Gaining chemistry won't make Cleveland a better defensive team with Kevin Love protecting the paint.

2014 Bron isn't as good as 2010 Bron.

While this is true there is only so much any FO can do with no cap space and draft picks in the 20s, if they have picks at all. Let's keep it 100 Mia's FO has been all about trading for or signing stars...that's been the key to all of their success along with Wade being drafted. Outside of the Big 3 wasn't shyt to trade and this was a top heavy team to begin with. You can't compare it to Jordan and Pippen because for one it was a different salary structure and both were sorely underpaid for years. And it was a different league. You could have two superstars and one star all in their 30s and dominate the league. Way too much talent in the league now.
