What do you do in a league where only a handful of teams historically win everything? Of course, add more teams

You're almost asking fans to watch the game without any regard for the outcome. That's not sports. That's sports entertainment
So then get rid of all these bird rules and max exceptions and put in a hard cap like the NHL did.

Contraction solves nothing.

I have no issue with expansion. The talent pool gets deeper each year and the game is continuing to grow worldwide.

As for this "no competition" thing, how many teams in the NBA right now would you say have no shot whatsoever at making the playoffs this year?

When Lebron left the Cavs in 2010 and started to suck again, I thought that they should have move to Columbus. The city is growing and is more diverse than Cleveland. It could help attract more free agents to come to Ohio. The only thing is that it would have to be comfortable being 2nd fiddle to OSU football but it can be successful. I don't know if they are doing another pre-season game in Columbus this year.

Everytime I think of OKC's success, I weep for Seattle:to:

But, Louisville...we talkin' bout Louisville:aicmon:
And, all bets are off for a team ever being in Sin City:troll:

Louisville?? :what: What's next an NFL team in Tuscaloosa?
30 teams is enough

This belief is so regressive and wrongheaded. Whenever I talk with hockey fans, they're always talking about expansion and growing the NFL game. There's no downside to expanding basketball and football. It's a net benefit the NBA market share grow.

Everywhere...You never there.
The NBA is soooooooooooo garbage man, and this idea ... just the idea of expansion, makes it 10x more garbage. You know something is bad when the off season was/ has been better than the previous regular season.

Just wanted to throw that out there. Y'all can carry on.

when i 1st moved to Columbus, the city proper pop was like 728k. Now, it is about 800k. That's an almost 80k jump in a decade. That is huge, considering my hometown of Decatur, Illinois has a population of about 75k.

I think the Columbus metro is at or close to 2 mil.
