Now that we've officially determined that Pepsi = soda (calling it pop is silly), what's the proper term for this thanksgiving staple?
I've always heard it called stuffing. But apparently in the south it's called dressing. I always thought dressing was like, miracle whip. But that's a debate for another day.
African Americans in the north say dressing. Since northern african americans have southern ties.
As for pop.....most northern folks say pop.

I keep saying STATE and city people are posting. Y'all are not the center of the universe, there is a large landmass called "new york state" and it's divided into 5 parts. 3 large, populous parts of that 5 are areas that use "pop" instead of soda.
Yes, but the population of those 3 large areas is much SMALLER than those of the other 2. That's the point breh. Unless you want to say cows call soda, "pop" as well.

dressing = mainly cornbread base (tho most recipes call for some dried bread or stuffing mix to be added in), always prepared in its own dish
stuffing = (dried) bread, can be prepared inside the bird on on the side.
if yall aint making dressing (even if you call it stuffing) on thanksgiving, you lost your southern roots and you inherently have less soul than real AA's

Never in my life have I heard anyone call it dressing.Salad dressing is the only dressing around here
Exactly breh. Dressing is for salad, stuffing is a side dish.

smoked turkey (fukk a fried turkey...im gonna inject it with olive oil and butter and rub it with some cajun seasoning wednesday night, wake up and put it on the smoker at like 7 and smoke it til dinner time around 4 on thursday)
STUFFING
mashed potatoes
collard greens
corn on the cob
biscuits and dinner rolls
sweet potato pie for dessert

Naw. my family likes cake cornbread.
As a matter of fact when I make a regular pan of cornbread even with jiffy I add sugar and pure vanillla and they call it cornbread cake.
These folks here are spoiled, I make them what they want
