A lot of people really need this you would be surprised how much of the United States is stuck on dialup, dsl, hotspots, and slower satellite connections. Also this system will eventually be used on Mars.

So farmers wouldnt need high speed connectivity to check on crop supplies and future contracts on the CME and the countless things that they need to for.
Goal is to provide cheaper internet access and high speed internet to every part of the globe. SpaceX has been launching a bunch of satellites for Starlink. This will improve quickly

ppl like Mowgli don't understand. hughesnet charges 139 a month for 25 mbps and a 50 gb limit. this is. what they call high speed. that's robbery in comparison

Internet is basically a utility now - difficult to be without it. Not all rural ppl are poor breh. I bet a lot of them are already spending close if not more than $100/month on cable/internet. This will take off.
