Internet is basically a utility now - difficult to be without it. Not all rural ppl are poor breh. I bet a lot of them are already spending close if not more than $100/month on cable/internet. This will take off.
100$+ isnt no basic internet/cable package in most areas, poor people not getting premium package cable/internet. Its not even about them being poor, the other overwhelming non poor majority of rurals are working class. This shyt is expensive even for a metropolitan american when looked at relatively.

we're talking about a 500$ down payment on some internet. :mjlol:

Regular folks use the web 100% through their phones and have unlimited service from whatever company they're already paying 100$+ to

Goal is to provide cheaper internet access and high speed internet to every part of the globe. SpaceX has been launching a bunch of satellites for Starlink. This will improve quickly

Teslas will have internet everywhere btw

Using Earth as a testbed for Mars probably the smartest thing a human has ever done. :win: And it just happened to be this human. :banderas:

Nah bruh. Plenty rural folks could afford this. And it’s 500 down due to the hardware required. Low credit folks probably won’t even qualify right now cause I know the active sat gear is more than 500 bucks.

Probably the only rural demographic that could afford it.

Disagree. Lots of rural people are already paying for shytty internet via DSL or satellite at prices that aren’t far off from Starlink, or even cost more. I live in a state in the Rockies and you don’t have to venture too far from a city and you’re in a valley with no cell service and because those areas aren’t densely populated the telecoms won’t run fiber lines unless you pay for it. The majority of these people probably have more money than people in the cities but they’re also not rich enough to blow $50k on getting a fiber line run to their home. Living rural doesn’t mean poor in my area, it mostly means you would rather live on a big piece of land in the woods rather than in a city.
