Because they dont respect traditional theatrical release windows. Spielberg has no issue with how amazon does business. It's netflix that wants to have its cake and eat it too.

The main issue for me is that Netflix allows for far more opportunities for people of color. Movies like Roma and many other small projects like “first match” etc are far more likely to make it on Netflix than a theater.

just mad and old is more like it. he's on his back in my day shyt. things change and like others have said, the way in which we view shyt has changed too. either adjust or get left behind. that kind of mindset that Spiels has it exactly what kills companies. Refusing to adopt to changing markets, demographics, technology. And by the time they do adjust, most of the time it's too late.

I thought it was ok, the concept is nice but it needs better direction

I really liked Bright for what it was. All those reviewers exposed themselves for trying it sound like it straight garbage. The title on some of the reviews were saying stuff like "Worse movie ever?" "Early candidate for worse movie of the year" crap like that. The movie wasn't great, but I enjoyed it. I want to see what they can do with a bigger budget.
