My favorite film of all time and truly one of the best executed scenes in cinematic history. I watched the DVD commentary once and Barry Alexander Brown (film editor) said that he didn’t even need to cut the song for the scene; it pretty much fit perfectly.
Also, I think this is the best use of Spike “dolly shot.” It’s like Malcolm is having an out of body experience as he walks toward his own death.
