Wouldnt bother me, just dont try to emasculate me in the relationship. IE, at every turn you dont allow me to provide for myself or provide meaningful contributions to the relationship. It really comes down to the personalities involved in the our relationship.

Case in point, i make significantly more than my lady, but i dont pay her bills, give her an "allowance", and i give her input and insight on the life i have and if she actz right, eventually "we" will make. Like someone said earlier, i want a partner not a pet.

I disagree...it's only money....if you marry the right woman she shouldn't make you feel as if you've lost power. ..a man should always be the man....if you always act as such you shouldn't have any issues. ..

Sadly, friends, because of many demonic movements in America women feel they have to compete with men instead of working with men. For people of african descent this is a problem because black men arent holding black women down, or back in any regard for them to feel they have to be liberated from us or rise above us.

it depends...the older, smarter, the more money, and more funner things in life they want...and not talking lazy bum broke and she made some money...

talking you might be doing ok...but she is a VP, making $300,000 a year...and wants to travel...but she is kinda quirky because of where she in life, so she is very business, goals driven, most stuff that would work on younger with no career chicks, wont work on her...It will work, but its not even envy, he kinda admires that about her...he just trying to loosen her up...so my buddy been telling me

Never date a woman who values her career and success over starting a family and being a wife/mom.

It never ends well.

With that being said, I would never date a woman with more money than me, or further along in her career than me. Some people may call it insecure, but I can guarantee that it will spare me some unnecessary problems regarding leadership down the line.

my current GF makes more than me, so far it hasnt been an issue. shes not the type to throw it in my face (shes white, lol)
she treats me like a king, mostly because thats the way i set it from the jump. i think im the first guy she has been with in quite some time that actually has a backbone, and no amount of money she makes is going make me put up with foolishness. ive been fine before i met her and will be if i leave her.

My issue with the "independent woman" is the ones who are busy bodies and act like they don't have time for a brother. If that's not an issue, then it's cool.

Can she handle not throwing her money in her man's face?
Can she handle not feeling resentful towards her man if his career isn't as rewarding?
Can she handle that eventhough she's a partner at her firm, at home she's a woman and her man isn't one of her subordinates?
