Some people get the short end of the stick through no fault of their own and must be considered... but they are the minority. Most underachievers are victim of a shytty education system and culture that doesn't value education in my opinion.

Setting a cozy baseline makes it easier/safe/ok for people to give up/not strive, and I'm against that and anything that may foster that sort of outlook/behavior.
The minimum should be just that, the bare minimum... and people in my opinion, should be uncomfortable there.
City college is practically free...:yeshrug:
