Nah that's only if you live in SF or San Diego or the thw nice parts of LA
California has tons of cities and many are actually affordable on $15

So a lot of the places that are having labor issues (retail, fast food, restaurants, etc) don't care about gaps in resumes. They aren't even looking at resumes, they just need a body. Remember, this is low skilled work, they aren't going through a whole process that you would do for an office job.

You do realize that they might be actually manfacturing this labor shortage crisis as a reason to bring in automated jobs or phase out certain low skilled jobs do they dont have to pay 15 dollars in a lot of places? Create a crisis to solve a crisis. They basically saying that yall dont want to work so lets use robots for workers and make you shop online instead.

Smart or nor, it is a person's choice to not work. However, people who don't want to work have to take into consideration where they will be in life when they get older.

How will they manage to sustain themselves I'd they don't have a secured safety net? Social Security may be gone. Medical insurance may be too expensive. General expenses will be higher and so forth. What are their plans?

I get not wanting to work for low wages, but sometimes, low wage jobs may be necessary temporarily until they can land a higher paying job.

For me, I couldn't afford to not work, so if I was in many people's positions and had to take a low wage job, then that is want I would need to do. I was just plan to take a trade or go back to school and get the credentials necessary to either get into the corporate world or take a chance and work for myself.

I think people will go back to work when their $$ runs out.
