My argument is that it doesn't sound natural and I really don't see how useful it is when it comes to reviewing media as opposed to a like/dislike system, It's just unnecessary noise. Urbanspoon is another site/app that uses the same system and works just fine, but I would assume a 10 point system would work better for reviewing food as well.

What reach? This whole thread is you saying people don't rate things with numbers; it's not natural. Then you say we should do away with the number system and just have a like/dislike one.
