New York, New York is Manhattan.

However, the City of New York (aka NYC) is the 5 boroughs: The Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, and Staten Island.

Then they annexed the city of Brooklyn and a bunch of towns in the neighboring counties a long time ago and here we are.

I moved to Hempstead area for like a year and a half. I moved to long Island just to keep my job by having access to Suffolk county.
