No. This thread is about FOs letting guys down. When a team is able to win at a 66% clip and win a playoff series without their best guy I cant say that FO let him down.
I'm not even the person who mentioned Rose. However, what you said wasn't true either about Rose missing half the season and the Bulls gaining the #1 seed without him.

All smaller moves.
not every player has to be a max player for it to be a big move

Do any of those moves put them over the top?
yes. games 3-5 of that miami came down to who can execute. heat had 3 guys who can create their own shot. bulls had one.

Beyond that Rose has missed the majority of the last three seasons. We dont know how good they may have been.
yeah we did. they got eliminated by a 8th seed.

Grant Hill's ankle let him down more so than Magic management.

Barry
Calvin
Cleveland Lebron
McNabb
Marino

:comeon: at the Derrick Rose mentions. His team got the number 1 seed with him missing half the season and won 45 games and playoff round without him the next season. Management had to be doing something right.

I'd sub out Calvin with another Eagle, Randall...otherwise yep.

Allen Iverso circa early 2000s. That team literally had absolute dog shyt around him for years. The second best player was Aaron Mckie. The keep putting 7-12th man around him and old, decrepit, washed trash like Kukoc, Big Dog, Van Horn, etc

Barry Sanders MUST be first on this list.

At least Dan Marino and Patrick Ewing had teams at some point good enough to get them to the Super Bowl/Finals.

David Robinson before Timmy came:snoop:
They got Dennis Rodman who was hot coming off detroit's title wins, they had sean elliot and other legit guards; please, don't put him on this list AT ALL. And they were winning 50 games and stuff BEFORE duncan got there :camby:

I said they got the top seed with him missing half the season. They got the top seed and he missed 27 out of 66 games. A slight bit of hyperbole but the point still stands.

If we are gonna talk about a FO failing a player we gotta talk about a higher grade of player than Ben Gordon, Belineli, Nate, Kevin Martin etc. :heh: Not being able to matchup up with the Heat=the FO failing a player now? :pachaha:
Bulls had talent and showed themselves to be team to be reckoned with even without Rose. Not a perfect team. Not team that never made a mistake but a tough, hard nosed squad that would have dominated the East the last 4 years if it wasn't for the Heat and Rose's injuries.

We also saw what happened when he was paired with another really good player (Melo) and when he was traded to a team coming off a Conference Finals appearance (Pistons). The results weren't pretty. :mjpls:

The Canswer does not belong on this list. :camby:

Pierce is worst than Cleveland lebron.

Paul pierce didn't get a real team until he turned 30. They finally built him a squad after he played through his prime.

Steve smith(nba)

Demarcus ware. Too many year when he was the only real pass rushing threat that Dallas had.
