new jersey drive should have actually been in a war between juice and matty rich's brooklyn and crooklyn with a transgender whirlwind match late battle gauntlet contestant, just another girl on the irt.
all those movies match to me more than when they included juice in the menace thread.

Fresh is a CLASSIC film imo with GREAT actors. That kid did the corner too so i need to check what else he in those 2 performances alone are some up there to me. Plus sam jackson chucky lmao breakin bad guy whos name i cant prenounce. The scene shooting uo the court. The chess. Soundtravk. Loved it. Remember seeing it on ppv at my cousins when it first dropped.
Clockers is a great movie as well but ita not seeing fresh despite having all the same things. Idk maybe its just as good but fresh is my fav of the genre.
Nj drive is good too. Actung isnt as good but i enjoyed the movie a lot. Steroid cop had mad punvhable face.

Yo!!! Just Another Girl On The IRT was scr8. But here's another one a whole lotta muthafukkas forgot about or don't know about: Fly By Night.
Another Girl on the IRT was a good film. The lead girl used to be on the Steve Harvey show
Never saw Fly By Night but always see listed on YouTube
Another one I liked was Strapped which was an HBO movie

Sugar Hill and Blue Hill Avenue were dope too but I don't really classify them in the same realm

that author wrote another great book about 10 years ago about a stickup/murder on the LES in Manhattan. it was cool because he did a great job showing the 2-3 different worlds that exist down there (smith projects, jews/grand street co-ops, hipsters) and all the craziness that still goes on. i really wish they turned that into a movie, it'd be great today if it got optioned
fresh was my favorite out of the 3 named. clockers the book is so much better. the movie doesnt do it justice. and im not one of those book is better than the movie always type of dudes but in this case its true

Nah they had to change elements of the book for the script/movie.. Imagine Rodney (Delroy Lindo) drivin around with a jheri curl and gold chains like it was 1985-86?? Nahh lol
