The Dudley boys leaving ECW and going to WWF during BOTH of their peaks....it made them national stars rather than PHILLY and NYC stars, and they're cashing paychecks today still because of it. Its literally the difference between them, and Public Enemy. If the Eliminators had gone to WWF instead of WCW they might be in a similar position as well...and alive.

Yeah, it was time for Luger. I don't think he was ever meant to be a long-term main event guy in either company, but it wasn't time to see him get phased out.

Can't forget Rocky turning heel in '97 and slowly becoming what we know as The Rock. It saved his floundering career and was the genesis of everything he accomplished afterwards. Ditto for Cena in using the rapper gimmick.
