I think he took a lot of shots to the head and the headbutt can obviously cause neck trauma, but it's ridiculous to say he suffered head injuries from that weak ass move. It's not legit.

I do think he's suffered injuries from wrestling, and I'm sorry that my comment didn't include that. He wrestled in the blood and unprotected chairshot days, and his style and attitude is fearless.

Yes, that really messed him up. But I'm not going to say that was the only contribution here, as he has proven to be and unstable person. Unfair to put that all on wrestling, when a lot of people in his Era have been fine. Not all, mind you, but way more than the majority.
I agree with you. I wasnt saying that headbutt caused it all. Its just a dangerous move. look at Daniel Bryan...i was hype when he'd use that shyt and now they got him on the shelf :sadcam:

Daniel Bryan was a moron about his neck and head. Same situation about his headbutt, but Bryan's tries to connect with the skull of the opponent with his, jarring the neck a lot more. He does it more, and he has a smaller frame, thus more tendons to stress.

I still get mad when I think about that crazy ladder headbutt contest he had with Ziggler. :snoop: Dude has no chill or self preservation. It's why he's loved, but also why he's not going to get another fair shot in the E, and the crowd isn't going to accept it.

Yeah those headbutts were bad. I def cringed at that, especially looking back in retrospect knowing he's having these neck/concussion symptoms.

I called the shyt when it was happening. Wayyyy too soon. I know they hold you out to rehab, and you come back a bit stronger, but that's the weakest part of the neck he's fukking with. That pendelum motion was insane, and with the jarring force hitting another object. I know he was just selling the headbutt part, but I'm like :what: didn't you JUST come back from a surgery (maybe 2??) w/in a year. It's hard to keep up with his injury time line now, but I'm sure he had 2 surgeries, before his return then. He had one, but the strength in his shoulders wasn't returning with rehab (says nerve damage), and then corrective.

So he comes back, has a decent safe match against Roman, although he did take a shot to the head neck which popped it back...then went Uber D2M at WM. I was hoping I was just overreacting.

I can think of a few that sort of transcend pro wrestling. The Rock perfecting his craft in the business and becoming a talented Hollywood star and a good actor too is maybe the best I can think of, along with Brock Lesnar going to the UFC, and then coming back to WWE when he did...and having the fact that he was an elite prize fighter to boost his image even more? Yeah, great moves for both guys.

Inside the business, I didn't follow a lot after the early to mid 00's, but The Dudley Boyz leaving ECW for WWE right when they did, and Chris Jericho leaving WCW for WWE when he did were both excellent moves. They both had sort of done eveything they could do in their respective organizations, either due to hitting the ceiling achievement wise or politics wise. And then they may not have had immediate success in the WWE, but it paid off big time for all of them.

I would've said Benoit going to WWE...but now with everything shaking out how it did...I'm not so sure.
