I see a lot tweets. I see a lot of videos. I see some "charities" (see tax write offs).

I don't see a lot of "work in the streets."

Example; Oprah didn't tweet about the issue of young girls' education in Africa, she built a damn school (however problematic).

I'm sorry for being cynical; Beyonce just played a great card so she wouldn't be on the wrong side of history 15 years later (aka "legacy" building).

EDIT: I feel the same way about Jay-Z's Hurricane Katrina song. My city STILL messed up.

Im not associated with any political idealology of the US as none of them were created with the well being of Blacks in mind.

There are politicians who i can agree with on certain things but i do not affiliate with them or consider myself part of the way of thinking in full.

When it comes to voting everyone is evil and you have to pick the lesser evil if you decide to partake in voting.

Of course it takes time to build infrastructure, I'm confused how people seem to miss that part. Anything that's great takes a very long time to build. But instead of us taking the first step and building something, many of us sit on our hands waiting for someone else to do the work so we can benefit from it.

you save the money, you raise the money, you get a second job, you put a 2nd mortgage on your home, you drive uber on the weekend, etc.

Let's say we're building a school. How much money are you saving? How much does it cost to build a decent school? And schools are usually on a plot of land so now we also have to save up to buy a piece of land. How much does it cost to get lights installed? And what about water? And what about the desks and the chalk boards? Can one middle class person really pay for this by just "saving their money" or "driving an uber on the weekend"? How much money does an Uber driver make during a busy weekend? Also how will you raise this money?
