but like every major city the smaller cities are considered by almost everyone to be a part of the major city

Yes because if someone is from Capitol Heights they're gonna rep Capitol Heights until they die before saying they're from DC even though they're literally across the street from each other. And people in DC will not hesitate to let them know they're from The County not The City. We love each other but there are clear distinctions between DC and it's suburbs

Everybody knows this but it isnt important, I got fam in Santa Monica, it's LA. Inglewood, Compton, Culver City, etc, all that is LA. We all know it ain't "The City" but it's still Los Angeles...

North Highlands and Rancho not Sacramento either but they claim it...
