DOOM is in my Top 5 But lets pretend like DOOM is sticking it to the man

WTF are you rambling about? Sticking it to the man :what:? Nobody cares about your arbitrary top 5 as if that's supposed to give you more credibility for this thread you started complaining about the way in which Doom operates.

I aint got a twitter or an instagram what the fukk does that prove? Not everybody fukks with social media.
DOOM isn't on Twitter, in the same way that alot of old heads aren't on twitter. They just don't fukk with it because there was a time where one's personal life was separated from one's public life.

You answered your question below

He just dropped that tweet, ironically, to clear all the fake accounts posing as him on twitter.

Please don't sleep on the word "ironically" in this instance either.

DOOM might take his music seriously but he's clearly got a sense of humor about it all.

Remember the whole freestyle Fletcher thing a couple of years back?

Exactly, so who's this rant aimed at, and more importantly, what's the point of this thread again :what:? You're responding here as if someone's questioning your fandom.... Bottom line is this. There's many rappers that take on different personas & monikers in order to either:

1) help bolster up their own credibility & standing (i.e. a Rick Ross just to name a quick example)
2) help in the aspect of creativity within their own music.

Doom has clearly chosen the latter over the former, and it just so happen that he's based his persona on a comic book character rather than an actual human - a great fukkin comic book character at that and I can say that with only loosely knowing about the basics of the character 'Doom' itself. You contend that he's gone too far with mimicking the character, I personally find it incredibly dope that he's pushed the envelope this far.

MF Doom is one of a kind and I appreciate that..

loss can change a man forever. doom manifested his saddness into who he is today and it worked. also, doom can drop whenever the fukk he feels like it. his simplistic special herbs mpc beats will live on forever and serve as "standards" for alot of hip hop head. not to mention i completely stole his whole persona and began rockin mexican wrestling masks as a homage to him.

i think its more than just his beats.

I think his legacy will be the way he made his albums. DOOM's albums are both incredibly cohesive and cinematic. each project feels like it exists in its own movie or comic book.
I can't imagine anyone else creating an album like King Geedorah.

i agree, i was just being brief in my summary. in all honesty i cant even begin to tell you how important doom is to the hip hop community, he was doing this during the height of the fukking puff era, not to mention all his work was supreior to that backpacking trash that was coming out back then 99/00/98 etc

Nope. He stayed true. Keep in mind he came into the game as a militant Nuwabian and he got blackballed by the industry for being too "racist. This KMD's 2 albums covers.

He's not on that Nuwabian shyt anymore, but he never "sold out" or crossed over either. And he still throws in militant material and says "cracker" sometimes. He made white people love him while remaining true to himself. The industry blackballed him, so he became a hero to their affluent hipster kids.

this is the closest thing i found, it has quotes from ALOT of people like serch and them, the article is very long and covers his entire orgins from the first album to the present. beyond the fact that its about doom its really interesting, right down to them being devout muslims on their first tour, to drinking and smokin on the second album

Thx breh, will check his out :salute:

DOOM is notorious for staying in character. But, can you imagine if he took it too far?

So inspired by this video, Here's what its probably like in the everyday life of MF DOOM.

DOOM be rocking his mask and Cape at the Breakfast table like that shyt normal. He's reading a copy of the times :coffee:.
His son begging to be excused from the table,
:usure:
DOOM telling junior to put his mask back on and finish his grits...

*********

No wonder, he can't get back in the states. This nikka probably sent DOOM imposters to his immigration hearings.

**********

DOOM bought the house at this island. He talking to an architect about possible renovations.

DOOM's like "Are you Sure you can't carve out a giant replica of my face out the side this mountain?" "Something sort of similar to mount Rushmore"

Architect looking back at this nikka like

:leostare:

DOOM keeps going "...And I'm thinking we could make the mouth into a functional garage." "Like the mouth opens and closes with the press of a button"

Architect :dwillhuh:

DOOM - "it also needs to be big enough to house several Hovercrafts and Spaceships"

***********

now i could be wrong because i never really kept up with bruh's music like that but i always felt like after it was said there were fake mf dooms at a few of his shows a few years back, i felt like bruh just retired because it seemed like there was also no new work comin' out around that time, just kinda recycled old shyt (old beats of his on new projects for another rappers and shyt or unreleased material that had been around but was just comin' out at the time)

i feel like bruh just sits back and chills now

doom was a a big deal in underground world and online the mid 2000s and then it just seemed like he stopped puttin' out shyt and people moved on

he's been recycling beats for years, or at the very least they are what artists have chosen to use.

New music? I'll believe it when I see it. Watch him just release a drum-less version of Madvillany or a remaster of an album that was already remastered lol. The Villian loves getting people to buy his shyt over and over again.

Been waiting for DOOM Starks, Madvillainy 2, a new solo album, etc forever...
