Square miles don't determine the size of a city.

When you say DC, you are naturally also including the rest of the DMV to come up with your size argument.

No I'm not.

Washington DC has more people than Atlanta.

The dmv metro has more prosperous black suburbs than the Atlanta metro

Most people who claim Atlanta don’t even live in the city limits! I’m sure you know this, given you’ve been to Atlanta. In addition, Atlanta has an ongoing project called the Belt Line that is reversing that trend. Look it up. Atlanta will be one of the most population dense cities in the United States in the next 10-15 years.

Atlanta is one city that you’re comparing against surburbs spread across two states and the nation’s political power base! DMV should have prosperous Black neighborhoods! But, in many ways, a lot of that Black wealth in DMV is wholly dependent on government and government-affiliated jobs.

In Atlanta, that’s not the case. A lot of diversity in terms of how Black people are getting money, which is becoming more interesting as Atlanta grows as the tech hub of the Southeast.
