@Amestafuu (Emeritus) , you don’t think this is fair grounds for at least asylum? This sounds very similar to a regime targeting it citizens. Statistically speaking it can even be quantified. I recall an NPR segment noting that Elsalvadoreans and Hondurans were using similar claims slightly before COVID to get into the US.


Of course, I still think the issue would be political feasibility. With the exception of China (maybe Russia) ; I can’t think of a single nation that would dare accept asylum on these grounds and risk the ire of the us govt. Black people in the US are in a similar position to say Taiwan and China, where the world will nod their heads and go along with the “okie doke” for fear of economic ramifications. No more than lip service.

They use those claims after illegal entry to try and secure permanent status. They would not make it passed immigrations or get offers of help otherwise. Some will be successful and others deported. Their cases are picked apart one by one.


As the claimant you will be tasked with proving that the US government is conspiring to kill you personally... Those hearings are tough and they put the onus all on you.

Black Americans who have become outspoken against society and become public targets would more likely qualify. There was a time indeed where a lot of revolutionaries did get offers to live abroad in exile. When it can be proven within reason that you have ired the state and become targeted you will get asylum. Just not on the broader perspective of having to deal with a biased society. A lot of emphasis is put on the level of emergency.

Some of the places providing asylum have their own racist societies but at that point it becomes a political game like France giving exemplary African Americans citizenship and recognition while they were simultaneously mistreating African immigrants from their colonies.

Beyond all that there's a pecking order in the world that's undeniable based on race and its the most visible when it comes to immigration. At no point has anyone been like fly planes down to Haiti and take them folks too. America will be in a ton of African countries troops on the ground and leave Black people when shyt hits the fan.

Let's not forget all the cacs that left Rwanda and left those people to die. All refugees are not treated the same. When Black Africans and Berbers from North Africa are fleeing to Europe the North Africans get favorable treatment and faster processing. Etc.

Not reading 10 pages worth of comments but Malcolm X’s play was to get Ghana or another African nation to declare America having a humanitarian crisis state which would allow refugee status to anyone willing to accept black Americans. Ghana didn’t want to get pulled out of the UN at the tile and none of the other African nations wanted that kind of smoke, Malcolm was assassinated not long after and then no one else took up the issue.

Side note, that's why I've always been happy about Japan's stricter immigration policy. You can't just let everybody in and then expect your country to remain the same. New people entering are not going to assimilate as easy as you would hope them to do so. If you want to visit a country because of certain qualities that said country possesses, and then a couple of decades later if you keep letting everybody in, that country will no longer possess those qualities that you once liked about it.

As to the topic at hand, many of these afghanis were risking their lives to help the Americans, so I do think that they should be given this opportunity.

I'm not going to blindly shy away from the fact that African Americans are still the most oppressed class in the United States of America. (MESSAGE!) If it were up to me, I'd say they should give y'all all of San Francisco. Just let y'all have that. Nice weather, already fancy expensive buildings just waiting to be inhabited. Y'all can have San Francisco.

I literally put zero thought into it and just said the first thing that came into my head. It does raise somewhat of an interesting question though. If the United States government all of a sudden said "Okay, all of you African Americans, we've decided that we're going to give you a swath of land in the United States that you can claim and control as your own." What piece do you think most people would like?

Middle America?

Florida?

Hawaii?

Also, you know people would be mad suspicious of whatever place was decided upon.

The entire West Coast would be the most beneficial, in my opinion. We'd have access to different types of biomes/climates (desert to pine forest). Being on the coast means ports and much easier international trade. It's a very strategic and prime region/location. San Francisco is an overpriced dump and worthless by itself. It'd be beyond difficult to successfully fit all of Black America into such a small region and be prosperous.
