it's like rap, after 25-30 years of getting original names....you don't really have much to choose from, and you start hearing some of the shyt ever.

yup. Seems like most shyt in black culture entertainment wise has run its course. All of the truly dynamic shyt was from the previous era.

Plus the 2011-2013 drafts were primarily role players. The big stars have names: Unibrow, Splash Brothers, Uncle Drew. The rest are just boring benchwarmers

I think it falls on the lazy ass media. I think those were the ones giving names out back in the day, could be wrong. They either too busy hating/jealous to embrace and player and give em a name, just use initials.
