those type of names were around before cp3 so theres a tradition of doing it... its not just copying him... like for example allan houston was H20 cause his shot was smooth like water and he was number 20....

that's the point, H20 had a ring to it because of the reference to water. Those CP3, DWill and DRose "nicknames" aren't nicknames, they're lazy abbreviations.

For me the reason is these kids don't have any personnality, and everyone really plays kind of the same. media and players are so corporate/politically correct/"swag"less that they're no space for anything more than pick and rolls, hell you might get a tech if you celebrate after a dunk.

I just looked up some nicknames for reference...apparently Jeff Green calls himself "Ironman" and Ariza is "the Cobra"
