If you you raise your daughter or son to not want to date your race of man or woman that means you and your spouse messed up because the first image a child has of their race of men and women comes from the home. Now that's across the board.

theres a possibility that he or she might just find a certain race more physically attractive doesnt necessarily have to be anything to do with you beeing a positive role model

i have a 15 year old right now that dates white girls. but it's not his fault. he goes to a predominately white school. there are very few black people at the school, and unfortunately, the vast majority of the small percent of black chicks there are:
