This is key, and reasons why I set rules like not betting on my hometeams (has to be a really good spot), because nothing worse than them losing and you losing coin on top of it

my home team is the Lakers and the way they were getting favored all season I got a lot of weird ass looks from my friends till I started collecting.

Breh I used to bet 1,000 a day on Saturday and Sunday a few years ago. For college football and the nfl

The stress just wasnt worth it to me.

Now just small little amounts to make watching games interesting

Some people play those lil machines with the mechanical arm at the grocery store that goes down to get those teddy bears.... cheap and fulfills that level of gambling as well....

Like the previous poster said the first two rounds of the playoffs are gold. College football is by far the easiest to bet on. I normally stay away from parlays because they are a great way to go broke but I like using it on college football. Wait the first two weeks of the college football season. Than parlay $100 on the top 3 or 4 teams when they play scrubs. 95% of the time they cover the spread and you can turn $100 into $600 or $1000. If you lose you only lose $100 for that weekend so its a not a big deal. But remember to only use parlays on heavy favorites for a small amount of money.

i think its because the teams generally play more to form in the postseason. theres no back to backs/travel issues. injury info is known way in advance. every team is rested, etc. theres no situational angle advantages/scheduling quirks/info advantages (ie will player a rest tonight, player b is kinda banged up are his minutes limited etc) that the large volume, winning gamblers have in the reg season. if there is no value in the line/total, and the sharps dont get early info, haralabob and billy walters arent gonna be betting into it

Yea I get it, that edge is gone.

But for me a small bettor.... between live bets and being able to call "upsets" (Golden state over Denver, Golden State over Dallas oh so long ago) its always been money time.

Granted I never start with more than $100, even though I make much more money than I did 8 years

I wanna say it was 2 losing years and 6 of taking out between $650 and $1000.
