Free? I pay them jokers ten dollars every month.

WORTH. EVERY. PENNY. :blessed:

all my friends that have premium swear by it, but i'm already paying for the stones throw subscription and netflix and a bunch of other shyt

i also like the collecting aspect but the modern era has made it be too much, but i'll still continue to be about that life

i just wish i could tag songs like i would want in my own spotify (even though i know that doesn't really make sense)

The above is why they dont need to charge EVERYBODY. Just give a sampler of the functionality of the service (throw ads on it so your still making money) and then charge for upsells.

:wtf: Why don't yall just dl music ?

Surprisingly enough ppl like to pay for music (:whoa:not me included). You also gotta think the amount of effort it is to some ppl to dl, unzip, extract, import and on top of that have the album cover and shyt tagged properly it may not be alot of work to some but to others they probably dont want to go through that hassle.

And lastly streaming music >>>> downloading music, no need to wait to dl and do what I mentioned above, saves hard disk space. In 2013 and the future "cloud" services>>>>>>. My old laptop and my moms crib got alot of music I want but it SO MUCH and the computer now is so :flabbynsick: I dont even have the patience to sit and try to retrieve it.

They'll be acquired by a larger media conglomerate or tech company like Microsoft / Facebook to compete with iTunes. Then they may even actually start offering to sell albums as well and there very well may be a subscription fee. At least there should be.

Edit : Seems like Google acquired them for 4.3 B last month. Good move.

The free service is great if you're curious about certain artists, albums, etc. But I'm confused as to why some of y'all are willingly payin a premium to listen to music you can typically find for free? :mindblown:

Well, here's what I do:

I purchase/download full albums by the artists I support. You won't catch me listening to an album like GKMC or The Black Album on Spotify. Kinda like movies. I have the DVDs of The Godfather trilogy, 40-Year-Old Virgin and that sh1t I love.
But where Netflix/Spotify come in handy is those things that I'm just curious about. Just earlier, I was listening to jazz for an hour or so. I go on kicks and start listening to early 80s soft rock and random stuff like that.

I don't know if I'm getting my point across, but hopefully you see what I'm saying :ld:

EXACTLY  I use spotify as my sampler for music I'm going to eventually buy. I just go to my amazon wishlist and then add an album from there onto spotify and preview it. I don't even listen to the radio on there.
