I currently have both T-Mobile (Nexus 4) & Sprint (Note 2) in NYC.

I definitely get more coverage in more places with T-mobile even if it's Edge where Sprint will have either no service or Roam. I get simillar speeds on 4G LTE but it's definitely more consistent on T-Mobile. I usually hit about 15megs down on both and about 24megs down on Sprint a little less on T-mobile... about 21-22ish.

The new Sprint Plans are complete bullshyt though I can't wait to cancel my last 2 Sprint lines even though I'm on their old plan and used up over 50 gigs of data last month.

S Usage Limitations: Other plans may receive prioritized bandwidth availability. Streaming video speeds may be limited to 1 Mbps. Sprint may terminate service if off-network roaming usage in a month exceeds: (1) 800 min. or a majority of min.; or (2) 100 MB or a majority of KB. Prohibited network use rules apply. See sprint.com/termsandconditions.]

Spent 4 years with Sprint. fukk Sprint, their coverage outside of big cities is garbage and like all have said their LTE is dial up status horrible. I just switched to T-Mobile with an iPhone 5S and that speed difference is :banderas: Plus their new JUMP program which includes equipment protection and upgrades every 6 months is KILLING the game

:win: I've been with sprint for 8 years, leaving them was the best decision I made in years.

Problem is the lte does not compare to anybody else's lte, 1mpbs upload speeds for lte is the most I've seen so far. Why am I pulling 40+ Mbps on tmobiles hspa+ and pulling 5-6mbps on sprints lte? It does not even make sense.
Tmobiles HSPA + use to be fast as shyt for me 2 years ago..but its not hitting anymore now that ive come back. It seems they gave the bandwidth to LTE.
The reason you pull such high speeds for tmobile as compared to Sprint is because Tmobile has more backhaul in place, and Tmobile has much much less customers to divvy spectrum to. If sprint only had 30 something million customers then you would likely see much, much better speeds.

LTE is great but 3G is dial up status. I can't leave cause the better services have capped data. LTE is right down the street from me. When they get it where I live I'm gonna go wild on Netflix.

Yep, My mom has the iphone 5 the data switches between LTE or 3G, never stays on LTE

I have been shytting on sprint for years, but out here, they must have recently upgraded, cuz a few months ago we didn't have LTE really anywhere, and nowdays, that shyt is EVERYWHERE. when I finally upgraded to iphone 5S, my LTE stays lit up for the most part. then they went and lowered the price for unlimited everything so much where its cheaper than the 450 minutes I previously had and my job give me 20% off.

thank you based sprint

but real talk, their 3G is HORRIBLE. I had a BB on verizon that's 3G, and that shyt was lightning fast in comparision to sprints :pacspit:

I have LTE in my area but my phone's radio for it sucks and I can hardly connect to it. Sprint won't just let me swap it out or replace it after I've went into a tech store to get it tested.

Any suggestions? I have the EVO LTE, but I would like to trade it in for a GS3 if I can. I have insurance too.

My wife has a GS3 on Sprint and it connects to LTE much better than my shyt.

Either flash another radio on it until you find the best one or trade it in towards something better. Honestly I would just ditch sprint all together, the lte ain't worth a damn IMO
