Who gives a fukk about Danny green when getting DeMar DeRozan in a trade, the spurs were getting trash offers from every team in the league and the Raptors were willing to give up their centerpiece for a one year rental

fukk that :mjlol:

Call his bluff? Spurs got an All Star in their prime with 3 years on his deal remaining and he playing the best ball of his career right now. That hoe nikka would've tanked another year and if we trade him we would've got A LOT less. That nikka not staying in Toronto, close to 0% chance because Uncle Dennis, his new daddy, got big hollywood plans for the mute

Obviously the Spurs lost the trade and it sucks but they weren't getting anyone better than DeRozan.

Nah breh
This is over

We have moved on.
There is no point in talking about Kawhi now. Good luck to him in Toronto.

Spurs will adapt. But it won't happen overnight
Exactly it could have gotten Timberwolves ugly which would damange the Spurs management brand and prestige .
Sometimes you really have to swallow your pride and take the L.
DeRozan is a good bball player obviously but it's a setback

Let's say Kawhi put up the opening few games comparable to what he's doing in Toronto now. You mean to tell me the Lakers don't come up off Kuz and Ingram in a nanosecond after their start? The 76ers don't chunk the deuce to Simmons and Fultz or Saric after their start? The Celtics don't seriously consider flipping one of the Js and a piece?

This is a very best case scenario of what could've happened :gucci:

Spurs got the best return they could've had. Lakers could wait on Kawhi next summer if possible, no way in hell Philly would give up Simmons for a player they could pursue in free agency and/or someone who could leave them dry and obviously Boston ain't giving up a lot for any player.

The 76ers are fukking retarted. I'm giving up Ben Simmons in a heartbeat for Kawhi Leonard.
I see their logic, its a 1 year rental and all signs pointed that Kawhi was going to LAL regardless of what happened during the season. You dont really a trade a top 5 young talent for a rental and the idea that you may be able to entrance him to resign

IDK how poetl's look since their first game but nikkas had a roster of siakam, pascal, FVV (was an untouchable I imagine), even norman if he's still there...and they settled for poetl

Danny Green spent 3 years...

Not averaging 10 points a game...

Not knowing how to dribble a basketball...

Having his 3 pointer attempts and percentages go down to the point that no one guarded him anymore...

Not averaging 1 free throw attempt a game...

Not averaging 1 assist a game...

So...why would the spurs want a 2 guard who can't score...or pass...or dribble...or get to the line...

Danny didn't have a bad year...he had 3 bad years in a row...

Anybody who watched him play for the spurs surely isn't taking what he is doing for the Raptors in 5 games seriously...cause he used to do the same thing for san antonio for 3 or 4 game stretches to...the problem is the other 68 games you play where he doesn't really do anything...

Wished they would have shipped his ass out for avery bradley last year...

Thank god that didn't though cause it would have cost them a 1st round pick and they drafted Lonnie with it:whew:

Might need to use one of their first round picks this year to draft a meniscus though :mjlol:

You obviously don't make the deal without a guarantee of an extension...this whole Kawhi going to LA thing ain't guaranteed. Everyone thought Russ and PG would both be locks to go there, yet they're both still in OKC. I'm just not a fan of Ben Simmons. The lack of a jump shot is a huge hole that will hold him and Philly back.
