I am a UNC fan first and foremost, but I always had a special place for SJU since they put on for the city. I do wonder what would be next, Pitinos is what, 73? Does he have some top level Assistant in line to replace him and keep things rolling, or do they call his son from wherever he's coaching now?
Technically his assistant Steve Masiello is supposed to be the heir apparent however I have my doubts this comes to fruition.
1) Rick Pitino and the university are already talking extension. Rick just said you don’t leave when you’re building something which signifies he has no desire to leave right now.
2) Secondly, the Big Money will want his son and that’s most likely what the university will do
