I can’t speak for them in the US, but here in the Caribbean they illegally come to your country… build up vast shantytowns with no permission from governments. Steal water and electricity because they have no infrastructure in these towns they populate. Now you do have some that come through the right channels, do everything properly and they have no issues ( to my knowledge) with the locals. It’s the ones that illegally make their way that give Haitians a bad rap.

One day one of them told me he couldn't STAND the other one, and almost cursed her out on the shift...I said

Haitians are looked down upon in the Caribbean by every island damn near especially with older generations I come from a Jamaican family and I remember my mom telling me after the earthquake in 2010 that it happened because they do Voodoo, I always thought that was messed up.

They think they’re too black or that they’re dirty ,even my Grandmother and Pops would kind of look down on them.

When I lived in Delaware I was around so many Haitian people in school, work, ect; they became like a 2nd family to me. Some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet food is good af and the women are next level beautiful to where even my Wife is Haitian, like from Haiti.

I would say things between Jamaicans and Haitians are way better with the younger generations we’re much less indoctrinated with c00n shyt. So most younger Jamaicans look at Haitian people as cousins since our Islands are right next to each other. I can’t speak for other Islands

As a poster said earlier this pan-african idea is really only strictly enforced on ADOS as most of these other diasporans and africans do as they please practicing some form of tribalism on a regular basis. Is the U.S. influence in geopolitics a factor sure but when you are engaging these types of antics it's deeper than that. As independent countries they could decline all the deportees the U.S. is shipping out and our government wouldn't bat an eyelash. This is going above and beyond with no benefit in doing so as far as I have read.

And that’s the bullshyt they bought to our community which is why we’ve kicked all of them out of our culture.
