I've really come around with Haley, but my only complaint is TOO much running the ball. I'm glad we established it last night because they started off not respecting it, and we forced them to respect it. But at some point you have to stick with what got you there

What I wanted to see was building off that running of the ball with more early down PA passing

Yea, maybe it's the play calling more than the design. To be fair though, Haley has a lot more talent to work with than Arians did. The last couple of years Arians didn't even have a functional offensive line.

He didnt do his line any favors with his "Hold the ball for four seconds" offense. The line hayley had coming in wasnt amazing either, but he made ben get the ball out of his hands.

Not to mention how many times he wasted two downs with bullshyt cloud of dust runs for two yards and bullshyt bubble screens. Arians handcuffed the steelers offense more than anyone in the media wants to admit, especially now that hes having success in arizona

I put some of that hold on to the ball stuff on the talent around Ben and Ben himself though. Ben still can hold the ball at times. The line does a much better job of protecting him and giving him more time now. You're not being honest if you can't acknowledge that. Ben has always been a guy that likes to hold the ball and go down the field. That has actually led to a lot of his picks this year. I don't think that Ben himself would say that BA was handcuffing them even if it did seem that way at times. You talk about how they used to call run plays even when it wasn't working when we all know that Ben was taking a beating back then due the poor o-line play. You can't send your qb to drop back and pass every play with limited playmakers and sub standard protection.

You can say what you want about Arians and I was certainly critical of dude, but how many SBs did the Steelers go to with him as OC? How many have they been to since? How's Arizona's offense and team as a whole doing with BA? Dude has proven himself.

Hayley coached that shyt out of him for the most part. He still does it but its not nearly as frequent and I put that on Hayley not trying to be buddy buddy with Ben like Arians was. We still had talent with bruce; Holmes, Prime Heath, Ward, Parker, Wallace. He wasnt devoid of weapons, we still had colbert out there evaluating great talent when arians was the coach. And his system and inability to properly coach ben's bad habits were the biggest reasons his offenses never got to their full potential. Hayley made it a point of emphasis to coach ben to get the ball out of his hands from the second he was hired, arians never properly addressed that because he was too friendly with ben.

And we havent won any superbowls since then because we dont have an all time defense anymore. Its getting rebuilt, and the thing thats kept us afloat is the offenses ability to outscore other teams. I guarantee we'd have at least two superbowls with the defense from 07-09 coupled with hayley's offense now. Roles reversed we'd be lucky not to have two losing seasons with Arians offense and the steelers defense from the last few years.

I don't agree with you. You're ignoring everything that undermines your argument. The weapons that we had then don't compare to the ones that we have now, and the offensive line is light years ahead of where it was during the last few years that Arians was there. If Mendenhall doesn't fumble or Ben doesn't throw that careless pick from his own end zone, they win in '09.
